2 questions [Tuesday December 8th, 2009] madradhair [laranal] First is about semi-permanent dyes. I dyed my hair almost 3 weeks ago. I was wondering when the appropriate time to dye it again was? I tried resisting to use head and shoulders but it works wonders on my sensitive scalp so I started using it again which is fading the color. It has faded to a lightish orange but it's starting to get more brown again. Box Dye Question [Wednesday December 9th, 2009] madradhair [onzeonze] Hope this is the right place to ask this, apologies if not! How long would you all recommend leaving between box dyes? I used a (semi-permanent - L'Oreal Casting Creme in Butterscotch if that helps) box dye tonight and though it worked as expected, the colour is a LOT brighter than I'd hoped. I also have a box of a darker shade of the same dye (Amber) - which I've used before and liked the colour. Would I be able to use this over the top of my recently dyed hair or it will go a crazy colour? How long do I need to wait to avoid damaging my hair too much? I'm naturally blonde so can't imagine any kind of colour stripping will help in this case. Thanks! read (1) cmnt

[Tuesday December 8th, 2009] madradhair [londoncrown] Okay, so I've tried becoming a redhead through store-bought dyes but of course none of them worked, actually one of them darkened my hair and added a subtle tint of red/purple but that's not what I want. I want an over-all noticeable darkish auburn redhead (not copper-ish), but nothing too bright because I have semi-tan/olive skin. I'm originally a dark brunette, by the way. go big or go home [Tuesday December 8th, 2009] madradhair [slightly_paved] so i kind of took it a little further than i originally intended this morning, but i decided to rinse the left over blue black over my hair while rinsing the black out, so the pourous parts of my blonde would soak up a little of the blue to counter act any orange. typically when i do this, the blue only lasts for a few washes and the blonde shows right through, but it's fun and pretty for the time it lasts. here! I wouldn't want to spike or gel the mohawk, I would just want it a bit longer in the middle with not completely shaved sides. It starts out by following just one girl, and she's really young probably 12, and she finds one girl that she idolizes and they live together behind a Whole Foods or something but then one day the older girl is gone, and the younger girl finds a whole group of friends that she now lives with. And this might be a separate book or movie but I think at one point she and some boy come down to the beach somewhere and sit under a pier and talk about sex or drugs or she shoots up or fucks him or something.
